Mostly original estate car (late owner owned approx. 40 yrs). Older repaint. Recent carb & fuel pump rebuild. AM radio, heat/defrost, original upholstery, trunk panels, bumper guards, plus period accessories. Known ownership since imported to Canada.
Updated and restyled with a much-stronger frame, longer wheelbase, and enlarged passenger compartment, the new-for-1941 Ford model line also marked of the final expressions of the Edsel Ford/“Bob” Gregorie design collaboration. The 1941 Fords marked another end of an era, with Henry Ford participating in his last new-car model introduction to the press in mid-September 1940. Refined, better riding and noticeably more comfortable, the 1941 models capably set the tone for Ford through late 1948, when the company finally introduced its first all-new postwar model line.
Offered from some 40 years of single ownership by the late owner’s estate, this top-of-the line 1941 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible is mostly original with the exception of an older exterior refinish. Running and driving nicely and powered by an original appearing “flathead” V-8 with a three-speed standard transmission, the vehicle also benefits from a recently rebuilt carburetor and fuel pump. Desirable features include an AM radio, heater/defroster, original leather upholstery and trunk paneling, front bumper guards, dual amber fog lamps and dual spotlights, plus whitewall tires and an exhaust deflector. Well-maintained and properly stored, it now stands ready for touring enjoyment and it will certainly provide a welcome entry to a multitude of local shows and events for its new owner.
