Series 62 was the upscale Cadillac for 1949 and as such received deluxe trim both inside and out with extensive chrome. This one has a fresh repaint, all new chrome, new interior, fresh complete rebuilt original 331 C.I. engine, original 4 speed Hydromatic transmission, wide whitewall tires, new wheel cylinders and master cylinder. It runs and drives excellent and the shop manual is included.

Perhaps its greatest claim to fame was the small tailfin at the rear of the car. With Cadillac postioned as an industry leader, it was a natural step for all other car lines to emulate the fin resulting in arguably the most identifiable styling trait of the fifties.
