Restored – a work of art! Classic Woody – burgundy.

This is a 1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe Four-Door Woody. What a collector’s dream this car is! This particular example was originally used as a South Carolina Girls Academy vehicle, in storage throughout the winters, of course. Now in recent years it was a centerpiece for a Virginia classic car museum. This Woodie has had only three owners before a total and complete full restoration. What makes this Woodie so special is it’s all the original ash wood on the vehicle. It was stripped down and refinished, in show-room condition with no cracks or stains. Beautiful! Brand new mahogany panels. The engine is quiet, low mileage, very strong, recently rebuilt, new brakes, new hydraulics, new Lucas WW tires, all the mechanical are new and fresh, NOS parts were used throughout. Just completed a round-trip to Lake Arrowhead – 6,000 feet in high gear, that’s pretty impressive also recently driven by Canadian Collector in Unionville, Ontario. That fluid-drive transmission that Chrysler introduced was pretty special, and once you get the hang of driving it, it’s really easy to use. New original-style upholstery, maple door panels, all three seats, original color maroon, and factory wood-grain gray dash. All the chrome has been re-plated, all new stainless steel grill, new moldings, all have high-luster metal polishing, has a factory-style Unity spotlight, original push-button Philco radio, and an aftermarket Southwind heater. This particular example, I can’t stress enough how great it drives. You get in, you turn the key, push the starter button, she fires right up, idles perfect, put her into gear, take her out, it drives great. You can take this Woodie anywhere you want, and you want to talk about turning heads, this is a car that we are definitely proud.
