True factory turbo ‘S’ car. 1 of 183 built by porsche built for North America. Porsche certificate of Authenticity.

Porsche has had a long and glorious history with turbocharging, both on and off the track. The first 911 Turbo arrived in the mid-1970s, and since then, has remained not only the fastest and most capable of the various 911 models, but also one of the most desirable sports cars in the world. The 993 generation of 911s, introduced in the early 1990s, was no exception. The Turbo that followed in 1997 would be among the last of the traditional air-cooled 911s, boasting 400 brake horsepower and, according to Motor Trend, a record-setting zero-to-sixty time of 3.7 seconds! The Turbo S was distinguished from the standard Turbo with Aerokit II front and rear spoilers, a pair of side-mounted air ducts, and additional air inlets near the headlights. The Turbo S was more than an appearance package, however, boasting an additional 24 horsepower, and was capable of covering the quarter mile in just 11.9 seconds!

The 1997 Porsche 993 Turbo S coupe offered here is a very fine example with just 16,000 original miles registered. As one of just 182 vehicles produced worldwide, this car is believed to be one of only five in Canada. It includes a six-speed manual transmission, all-wheel drive, and is equipped with all available options. The car includes extensive history, and is offered in incredible condition, representing a rare opportunity to acquire one of the fastest and most collectable Porsches in history.
