The 1961 Impala Convertible presented here, finished in Jewel Blue with a blue soft top and a blue vinyl interior, received a complete 100-point restoration in 1995. Shortly thereafter, it was acquired by its current owner, who campaigned the Impala Convertible at several AACA events in the early 2000s, earning the Chevrolet its National Senior, and most recently, its Grand National Senior Badge in 2003.
It is powered by a 250-horsepower, 348 cubic inch, 250 horsepower V8 engine, with a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Well-optioned, it features power steering, power windows, power brakes, power seat, remote trunk release, tinted glass, air conditioning, electric wipers and Autronic Eye. Additional features include a tissue dispenser, remote control driver’s side mirror, day/night rearview mirror, parking brake warning light, front grille guard, rear bumper guard, rocker panel moldings, gas filler door guard, trunk light, and four-way flashers.
