Some collectible are good investments and some we collect just because they make us feel good, this truck does both. Even a glance at this 1957 Chevrolet pickup is bound to stir a warm memory. Not hot rodded, this gleaming Guardsman Red beauty was treated to frame off restoration that took three years to complete. This is a “big window” cab and has the optional stainless trim around the windows. Chrome grille, chrome bumpers, dual mirrors and polished stainless hardware provide the ideal amount of pizazz. The hardwood bed has been refinished with cherry and the quality doesn’t end there. The frame on this truck has been treated as nicely as the upper surfaces and painted black and then clear coated. The 283 four barrel has been rebuilt and runs with the reliability that made it famous. Rams horn manifolds and a manual transmission go back to a 12 bolt rear. Inside, the stock steering column holds the “three on the tree” shifter and the stock dash and gauges are all in place as is the Chevrolet recirculating heater. With a subtle but sure to be appreciated nod to upgrades, the seats have been reupholstered in a more durable and higher quality fabric than stock and yet still look period correct.
Vintage pickup trucks have existed somewhat under the radar in the collector car hobby for many years with people largely viewing them as fun side projects. This is rapidly changing as appreciation for well restored, stock style pickups continues to grow. Here is an incredible opportunity to own a classic Chevy pickup that can be driven and enjoyed while holding its value. Be ahead of the investor curve before prices rise.
