Re-creation of the Newport roadster which served as pace car for the 1940 Indy 500, this amazing one off was hand built using a 1940 Chrysler chassis and floor pan. As such it is registered as a 1940 Chrysler Newport and features a 392 Hemi engine, automatic transmission, limited slip rear with modern touches towards comfortable driving such as power steering and brakes with updated sound system. A work of art that can be driven and enjoyed.

Here is a phenomenal 1940 Chrysler Newport Roadster. This is a one-off metal bodied re-creation of the Chrysler Newport used as the Pace Car for the 1940 Indianapolis 500, of which only 6 were produced. This car was hand built in Roadster form using an original 1940 Chrysler chassis and floor pan. It is registered and titled as a 1940 Chrysler Newport. the car is powered by a 392cid HEMI engine with dual 4 barrel carburetors, a 3-speed Torquefilte transmission, limited slip rear end, rack and pinion power steering and power brakes. It also has a tilt steering wheel, CD sound system, Kelsey Hayes wheels and full gauges. It was a complete ground-up build with no expense spared and only 400 miles since it was completed. The car is finished in stunning bright red with a lavish tan interior trimmed out in 24k gold. This is a tryly special, one-of-a-kind automobile and work of art.
