#1447 was treated to a full, no-expense spared nut and bolt rotisserie restoration in 2007. The result is breathtaking, with all original features preserved or restored, and all numbers have been checked and verified as absolutely original and correct. Original build sheet, Bill of Sale, and Marti Report included.
The 1969 and 1970 Shelby GT 500s represent the last, and most powerful and refined examples of Shelby Mustangs ever built. They are unique in their own right, with brutal power and torque, combined with the best of all creature comforts. They earmark the end of an era of muscle car history that will never be repeated. Unlike any of their predecessors, these cars were the most technically advanced and expensive Shelbys ever built, which means that they are now the priciest candidates for restoration of all Shelby Mustangs. Car #1447 is an enigma, in that it remained in the same family for most of its life in the USA, until it was transferred to another family member in Canada, and eventually purchased by the Auto Dream Group of Niagara Falls, Ontario. In July 2007, the original and unmolested time capsule was treated to a full, no-expense spared nut and bolt rotisserie restoration. The result is breathtaking, with all original features preserved or restored, laser straight lines, and near perfect and very desirable original Acapulco Blue paint. The restoration is documented on a CD with detailed pictures, and all numbers have been checked and verified as absolutely original and correct. The car is documented with the original Bill of Sale, the original build sheet discovered during restoration, a mounted and framed MartiReport, and listing in the Shelby American World Registry. The car is indeed a collector’s dream in every possible respect, but can be driven with fury yet comfort, with its automatic transmission and factory AC.
