As exciting to drive as it is to look at, this Challenger convertible came to Canada from Georgia. During the restoration, the decision was made to create a Hemi RT tribute car and a John Arruzza Hemi was assembled for the car. Backed by a Tremec five speed and a Dana 60 this is a true driver’s car.
This factory convertible began life with a 318 but has since been upgraded to renowned Hemi status. No ordinary crate Hemi was good enough, though – a 600+ hp 517 cubic inch Hemi engine with Tremec 5 speed manual transmission was used. This Hemi was carefully assembled by John Arruzza of North Carolina, who is widely regarded as the finest Hemi engine builder on the planet. All of that power meets the pavement through a Dana 60 reaerend with Sure Grip limited slip. Stopping comes with power front disc brakes and handling is assisted by front and rear anti-sway bars. Painted in Go Mango orange with white interior and black top. Shaker hood, a Go-Wing decklid spoiler, power steering, power brakes, power top, Rallye gauge package, console and Pistol Grip shifter. Originally out of Georgia, this Challenger was treated to a thorough and extensive rotisserie restoration, which included the undercarriage and floor pans. The original broadcast sheet, fender tag and an engine spec sheet are included. Motor City Muscle at its finest!
