One of the defining cars of the entire musclecar era is without question the Ford Mustang Mach 1. This California built example was ordered with a 428 Cobra Jet engine which has been completely rebuilt and runs out very strong. Also wears rear Sportslats, rear deck spoiler and comes equipped with power steering, power brakes, AM/FM radio and Magnum 500 wheels. Formerly owned by a very fussy collector in Alabama who kept the car for 35 years.
One of the defining cars of the entire musclecar era is without question the Ford Mustang. In addition to exciting styling, Ford was also careful to provide a Mustang variant that appealed to all market segments. The gorgeous example you see here is a model that was meant to satisfy the buyer who wanted styling and performance. The fastback styling looks as race ready today as it did in 1969 and the Mach 1 model added a matte black hood with hood pins, the air scoop, competition suspension, chrome exhaust tips, competition pop open gas cap as well as an upgraded interior with clock. This particular Mach 1, which was built in California, goes a step further as it was originally ordered with a 428 Cobra Jet engine. The R-code engine meant the Mach 1 hood scoop was now a Shaker style and the automatic transmission was a heavy duty unit in order to handle the massive torque generated by the stump puller V8. The big block 428 engine has been completely rebuilt and runs out very strong. This car also wears rear Sportslats, rear deck spoiler and comes equipped with power steering, power brakes, AM/FM radio and Magnum 500 wheels. This gorgeous Mach I has been professionally refinished in its original shade of Royal Maroon and was owned by a very fussy collector in Alabama who kept the car for 35 years.
