ABR CAMARO
This 1994 Camaro Z28 was factory ordered by Trak Motorsports as a purpose built race car. It is 1 of 135 Camaro Z28’s built in 1994 with the 1LE option package. The 1LE package meant the car was intended for a singular purpose, to go racing. As such, this Camaro was NEVER driven or titled for the street and was turned into a race car for the Motorola Cup Series by Trak Motorsports with help from the now famous Multimatic.
The car competed in the Motorola Cup, Canada Cup, Ontario Challenge Cup and Touring GT Challenge Series throughout its years, with the front sheet metal being updated for the body style change in 1998 so it could still stay with the “current body style rule” of racing in that day.
This Camaro has also competed in many regional races in Ontario over its many years. Recently this car was in the 2017 PRI show in Indianapolis as the NEO Motorsports show car.
It is powered by a period correct LT1 built by MT Motorsports, the engine is 355 cu in, has an LT4 crankshaft, Crower forged connecting rods and JE lightweight pistons. It also has a TPIS cam, aluminum heads and ported intake. The car also has a Canton Racing oil pan and Accusump system, as well as all current safety equipment.
