Very few people in this world have owned a 1956 Meteor Crown Victoria, why? Because this particular model is one of the rarest of all Fords ever produced with only 206 units built. In fact, it is believed that there may be fewer than 10 examples left in existence! This particular Crown Victoria has been treated to a body-off-the-frame fresh restoration, completed this year, which included the refinishing and detailing of the undercarriage as well as a new interior and nicely detailed engine bay. During the restoration, virtually all the chrome has been replated or replaced and the stainless moldings have been polished. Fortunately, the car retained all the rare Meteor emblems which are unique to this car and virtually impossible to replace. Many new parts and components were installed on the car including, but not limited to, new master cylinder, brake lines, shocks, stainless steel gas tank & fuel sender unit, exhaust, control arm bushings and idler arm bushings, headliner, windshield, and more. The car is equipped with a 292 cubic inch V8 and automatic transmission, power steering, town & country radio, wire basket wheel covers, continental kit, fender skirts, rear deck antenna and backup lamps. Due to the fact that the restoration has recently been completed, the paint chrome and interior are all in good-to-excellent condition and the most obvious flaws are some minor scratches in the back glass. Documents include an original letter from the Historical Consultant at Ford Motor Company verifying the car’s authenticity as well as owner history. Timeless Fifties styling, a beautiful restoration and super rare . . . it doesn’t get much better than this!
