A wonderful pre-war Coupe with an outstanding history . . . This excellent example has been owned by just three families since it was new! Sold originally in Southwestern Ontario by a then subsidiary Ford dealer in Shakespeare to a pair of unmarried sisters who lived one block from the Main Street dealership. Seeing very limited, seasonal usage, in 1959 the sisters sold the car back to the dealer as they could no longer drive because of failing vision. After purchasing the car back from them, the dealer retained the car within the family business for the next 56 years! This 37 Ford was well known in the area so in the late 80’s, the son of the original selling dealer decided a sympathetic refurbish was in order. With a new black finish, LeBaron Bonney interior and an engine overhaul the car was once again “new” and for the next 25 years saw nothing but limited parade use. Today, this three-owner, 46,000 original mile example is found to be in outstanding condition. With exceptional paint, unpholstery and trim, the original 85 horsepower Ford Flathead V8 runs and drives incredibly well. The paint, chrome and interior are rated in good-to-excellent condition, glass appears new and the steering wheel should be restored. An exceptional original unaltered pre-war Flathead Ford Coupe.
