Many people refer to the Hemi ‘Cuda 4-Speed as the ultimate muscle car and this particular example is one of only 44 built for the Canadian market! How’s that for rare? It was sold new at Johnson Motor Company in Vancouver B.C. and eventually ended up in California. The car rolled off the assembly line with a scheduled production date of Monday October 6, 1969 and was ordered with the 426 cubic inch 425 hp engine option with dual-quad carbs. The original fender tag confirms that this ‘Cuda was ordered with the A833 4-speed transmission and a 9.75” Dana 60 Super Track Pak rear axle with 4:10 gear ratio. Rallye wheels are mounted with F60-15 Good Year Poly Glas tires and power front disc brakes provide the stopping power. The paint code on this Hemi car shows that it was sprayed at the factory with the very desirable color of FC7 High Impact In Violet.
This stunning automobile was physically inspected by David Wise and Galen Govier who both confirmed the car’s authenticity and decoded the fender tag. Their inspections revealed that both the Primary and Secondary body VIN stampings are present on the rust-free body and the original fender tag is present as well. The engine has an un-stamped VIN ID pad however it is date correct for this vehicle. The Govier report states that it has been “restored to the maximum professional standards of quality in every area”, which accounts for the absolute spectacular appearance of this Hemi ‘Cuda.
Not only is the car listed in the Chrysler Registry but it comes with the original Broadcast Sheet, original California Title as well as both reports from Wise and Govier.
One of the World’s Best!!
