Stunning, Spectacular and Impeccable are 3 words that could easily be used to describe this factory Super Sport. The combination of the glass-like black paint finish contrasts well with the beautiful bright red interior. Coming from the state of Arizona, the SS409 found its way into the hands of a collector in Alberta, and subsequently landed in Ontario.
It is powered by a 409 cubic inch V8 with dual-quad carbs producing 425 hp and coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission and is further equipped with power steering, windshield washers, bucket seats and console, dual rear deck antennas and air conditioning.
An enormous amount of time, talent and money was invested in the restoration in order to achieve such a high level finished product. The quality is evident everywhere you look including the aluminum body moldings which look showroom new. The brightwork is equally as impressive in keeping with the overall quality of the Impala.
The same attention was given to the mechanical aspects of the car and all components such as lights, gauges, etc. functioned as intended. The car runs strong and drives like it just rolled off the showroom floor.
