One of the Corvettes that seem to be seldom offered for sale is the ’65 396 cubic inch 425 hp version, let alone one with matching numbers, and let alone one with a high level of quality . . . well this example offers all three.
The engine casting number is 3855962 . . . which is 396 cu in – 425 hp
The Engine Code stamped into the pad is IF . . . which is 396 L78 425 hp 4 speed
The Paint Code on the trim tag is FF . . . which is Nassau Blue
The Interior Code on the trim tag is 451 . . . which is whaite and blue
Inspection of the car revealed a meticulous attention to detail during the course of restoration and the car was impressive from all angles, and from top to bottom. With a quick twist of the key, the 396 engine roared to life and ran extremely well. Other features include knock-off wheels with Coker Classic Goldline tires, side exhaust, white soft top, am/fm radio and teakwood steering wheel.
