A relatively expensive car within the Plymouth lineup for 1968, the GTX was outsold by its lower priced sibling the Road Runner. This example features added hood pins, Magnum 500 wheels with redline tires, well detailed engine bay with high performance 440 coupled to a four speed manual transmission with added Pistol Grip shifter and power steering. It also has bucket seats, in dash tachometer and added underdash ancilliary gauges.
A relatively expensive car within the Plymouth lineup for 1968, the GTX was outsold by its lower priced sibling the Road Runner. As a consequence, the GTX is somewhat rare and is highly sought after with fewer to be had. Coming standard with heavy duty brakes and suspension and a 440 Super Commando V8 engine as well as upscale trim, the GTX was more of an executive hot rod. This gorgeous black example features added hood pins, GTX stripes and badges, chrome Magnum 500 style Road Wheels with correct style redline tires, a well detailed engine bay with the high performance 440 cubic inch engine coupled to a Chrysler 833 four speed manual transmission with an added Pistol Grip shifter and power steering. It also has the woodgrain trim, bucket seats, in dash tachometer with added underdash ancilliary gauges and woodgrain steering wheel.
