Originally intended as a replacement for the 911, the Porsche 928 was a departure for the company in a number of ways. From its front mounted V8 engine driving the rear wheels to its wedge styling and rear hatch, it was quite unlike its predecessors. While more refined, the 928 didn’t have the loyal cult following of the car it should have replaced. As such, it has over time become much rarer and values are steadily creeping up.
