1930 Buick Marquette Sport Coupe. Buick introduced the Marquette just before the great depression; it was offered in six body styles and sold through Buick dealerships. GM spent $26 million on development and built 35,007 models of this one year only automobile, It was terminated citing low sales due to the depression.
This model 36S Sports Coupe is finished in beautiful Traverse blue with charcoal top and a black fabric roof inlay is highlighted with show quality stainless trim, chrome bumpers, dual cowl lights, sun visor, original headlights, stunning grill, attractive wood spoke wheels with scarce Marquette center dust caps and wide white wall Firestone 5.50-18 tires. The rich brown cloth upholstery is perfect, including pleated seat, cloth door panels, headliner and wall to wall carpet, The rumble seat and rear mounted spare tire cover are completed with matching brown leather. Featuring a 212 cubic inch six cylinder “L” head engine making 67 horse power, floor shifted three speed manual transmission and four wheel mechanical drum brakes. It easily cruises at 55mph highway speeds with sure and safe stops without effort. Detailed interior, engine compartment and under carriage, this unique automobile is ready for any auto related event.
