Unrestored and highly original; features an original RPO L82 350 engine with 225 horsepower mated to a four-speed manual transmission, plus the RPO FE7 Gymkhana suspension. Running and driving very well, it has covered only an approximate 75,000 km and marks an excellent C3 Corvette to buy.

Equipped with the most desirable performance options offered for 1979, this Corvette T-roof Coupe is powered by an RPO L82 350 cubic-inch engine delivering 225 horsepower, mated to a highly desirable and rare 4-speed manual transmission. It was special-ordered new by the original owner to his specifications at Aylmer, Ontario’s Hutchinson Motors Ltd., and the 1979 Corvette sales brochure accompanying the car at auction shows the options chosen when the order was placed with the dealer.

Finished in rich Corvette Dark Brown with Corvette Light Beige cloth and leather upholstery with the seat inserts in a distinctive hobnail pattern, the Corvette features a very nice, well-maintained and mostly original paint finish with careful touch-ups. The car continues to present very well overall. Other performance options include RPO FE7 Gymkhana suspension package. With this powertrain, the Corvette was the fastest production car in North America for 1979, rivalled only by small numbers (1,817) of the Pontiac 400 (T/A 6.6) Trans Am that year. The Corvette is complete with the original owner’s manual and it is equipped with a new set of BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. Very clean, well maintained, and highly attractive throughout, the Corvette starts, runs, drives, and handles well, with very flat cornering.
