Sold new by Bliss & Padden Chevrolet in Los Angeles California, this numbers matching Sport Sedan was ordered with a long list of options including 327 cubic inch V8, automatic transmission, rare factory cruise control, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power door locks, power seat, front & rear bumper guards, rear deck antenna, and factory air conditioning. Mr. David Bennett had an eye for quality and he purchased this rust-free California car with the intention of improving it so that he could attend cruise nights and car shows, and also take his grand-kids to the ice cream shop. So over the years, he had the engine rebuilt, installed a rebuilt 700R4 transmission, new gas tank sending unit, new carb and new carpeting. He also had many of the engine bay components powder coated to improve under-hood detailing. With the goal of further improving the car, Mr. Bennett purchased a list of other new items such as emblems, window channels, etc. that were intended to be installed on the Impala, but unfortunately, David passed away and never did install the parts he had bought. These items are included with the sale of this car and will be provided to the buyer. This California rust-free example is not ony loaded with some rare factory options, but it runs and drives very well. Cosmetically, it is quite good overall with an impressive engine bay and the interior being in near excellent condition, but the paint and chrome, athough not necessarily in bad shape, do show some age deterioration upon closer inspection. In addition, the original Owner’s Manual, Owner Protection Plan Booklet and various receipts go with the car. A great southern example loaded with options selling to the highest bidder at No Reserve!!
