This properly restored Ford Customline is a rarely seen convertible that retains a flathead V8 with an automatic transmission. In 1952, the automatic was a recent innovation for the mass produced car and had only been widely available in the Ford lineup for a couple of years. As such, it was seldom ordered and is even more uncommon today. The wide whitewall tires are mounted to steel wheels with full Ford wheelcovers. The chrome and bright trim sparkle and gleam. The engine bay is highly detailed with correct appearing hoses, markings, colours, and wiring. In addition to the automatic transmission, it also features fender skirts. trunk mounted Continental look and dual exterior mirrors. The interior has been reupholstered and properly finished in a two tone appearance that matches ideally with the exterior. An uncommon and desirable Ford convertible.
