This is one of those projects that just got out of control. The owner decided that he would “freshen up” this Seventies Pickup with new paint and some new chrome on the bumpers, well . . . over $40,000 later, the freshening up turned into a very extensive restoration because it was decided that along with the outstanding new paint, the truck should have the engine, transmission and rear end rebuilt. Then the decision was made to rebuild the brakes, steering and suspension with virtually all new components including the addition of rear disc brakes. Furthermore, new stainless steel dual exhaust was fitted to the truck along with a new gas tank, new wheels & tires and a custom grille. As if that wasn’t enough, he figured that he shouldn’t stop there so a new interior was decided upon along with a sliding rear window and a beautiful fitting tonneau cover. Overall, this truck is essentially excellent in most all areas but in attempting to find any defects to report, there are a couple of small surface scratches in the passenger side door glass that are barely visible. Needless to say, there are not many defects or imperfections to report as the truck shows well from front to back and top to bottom.
