Vintage Air a/c unit. Mustang II front suspension. 400 block, 383 ci stroker engine with 700 R4 automatic overdrive transmission. Built from a “Glass Act” kit, this street rod features a large list of desirable equipment.

A beautiful example of the 1931 Ford Five Window coupe, one of the most popular choices for hot rodding and with swoopy lines that still look great today it’s little wonder. Using a Glass Act kit, this one abounds with all of the right parts including a Mustang II front suspension with tubular control arms and Omni rack and pinion steering. The rear suspension was donated by a 93 Mustang with 8.8 rearend housing 3.73 gears and axle windup controlled by Lakewood traction bars. Braking is provided by a disc brake front with drums out back. The drivetrain consists of a Chevrolet V8 stroker displacing 383 cubic inches with a Carter AFB carb and ceramic coated block hugger headers. Vintage Air keeps the interior cool and the gauges keep the driver informed of engine operation. The 4 speed 700 R4 automatic transmission makes for easy highway cruising.
