The Cameo Carrier was introduced to gain city buyers and in 1957 only 2240 were built, making them very rare. The restoration saw most sheet metal replaced with southern parts. Original chassis and mechanical components were used when possible. All components work on the truck – radio, wipers, horn. The 1957 was the most desirable model with this colour combination and drive train option.

In 1955 General Motors introduced the Cameo Carrier in an attempt to get into the city market with a dressed up pickup. This truck is a restored original 1957 of which 2240 were produced. This making it a very rare truck. Originally a US truck from Pennsylvania, this truck entered Canada in 1980 by previous owner. Purchased in 1990 by current owner, restoration was completed in 2004. Most of the sheet metal was changed out with Southern parts, original chassis and mechanical components were utilized in the restoration. Very few miles have been clocked since restoration. With attention to detailing this truck to original factory specifications, the body was painted in original Cardinal Red/Bombay Ivory colors with base coat/clear coat. 90 percent of the chrome was replated. Stainless steel was polished and upholstery as per original materials. All components work on the truck – radio, wipers, horn. Good quality driver or show truck making this a very rare and collectible truck. The 1957 was the most desirable model with this colour combination and drive train option.
