Chevrolet introduced the new Superior Model line in 1923. This was the predecessor and upscale model to the Chevrolet 490. The Superior was the direct competitor from Chevrolet for the ubiquitous Model T. This lovely exampleis the four door open body style Chevrolet referred to as the Touring Model.
This magnificent 95 year old Chevrolet has previously seen a high quality, total rotisserie restoration. Refinished in period correct colours with a rich Maroon body and all steel Tuxedo Black fenders and splash aprons. Completing the spectacular look is a black canvas convertible top. A photo documentation of the restoration was performed and it includes the complete mechanical rebuild.
Properly restored engine and engine bay including functioning original vacuum tank and the unique open valvetrain of early Chevrolet models. It is also complete with the correct 30" wood spoke wheels which have been finely restored and appear stunning. The interior has been finished correctly with original gauges and the beautiful wood steering wheel and wood floor boards in the front. The black leatherette upholstery and properly restored door panels are in place. This car also has side curtains stored under the rear seat compartment.
With few accessories available in the day, this early Chevrolet is equipped with original Chevrolet cloissone radiator badge, dog bone Chevrolet script rad cap, Chevrolet script clock in the earview mirror, four Chevrolet script aluminum step plates and rear mounted spare with Chevrolet script wheel cover.
At nearly a century (wow!) old, this is a Chevrolet that has been correctly authentically restored that truthfully is likely better than it was when it was new. This is a stunning automobile and a genuine piece of automotive history and would certainly please the most discerning of collectors.
