This beautiful muscle car started life as a Tempest Custom Coupe and was tastefully transformed into a GTO Tribute. The car is powered by a freshly rebuilt 1969 Pontiac 400 producing approx.. 390 hp. The engine has D Port 62 castings high compression cylinder heads, Comp Cams hydraulic cam, BOP rear seal, Edelbrock Performer intake manifold topped with a Holley 750 cfm carb, Power Bond balancer, aluminum water pump and radiator. Fresh Turbo 400 automatic transmission, 10” 3.000 stall converter and transmission cooler. Power is transferred to the ground through a 12 bolt rear axle with 3:73 gears. The car is equipped with a Factory tach and gauges, Painless wiring, new stainless steel gas tank, SSBC front disc brakes, 2 inch drop springs, adjustable upper and lower control arms, boxed lower control arms and new exhaust. A stunning new black interior has been fitted to the car and includes rare bucket seats with head rests. The exterior sports the GTO trim with Rally 1 wheels. The beautiful paint was applied 4 years ago at a cost of $13,000 however there is a light scratch on the trunk and a couple of very small imperfections on the passenger front fender and hood. The chrome is, for the most part, in excellent condition but the headlight bezels are showing some age. All glass has been replaced and the car was recently certified on October 21/20 confirming the car’s mechanical condition. This is a great solid example with a GTO look but at a fraction of a GTO price with an overall condition of good-to-excellent.
