The 190SL is Mecerdes' kid brother to the globally famed 300SL roadsters. In most recent years these European open sports cars are certainly the flavor of collectors, enthusiasts and suave investors. This great example was sold new in Germany in 1961 to a Canadian Forces Pilot. Sent home to Toronto in early 1962, the pilot brought his 190SL with him. Upon his return, he subsequently sold the car to a downtown Toronto dental surgeon and this car stayed in that family for the next 53 years, only being sold from single family ownership in 2015.
Finished in one of this models' finest colours Mittel Blau-DB350 (Medium Blue). Interior is MB leather finished in oatmeal. Correct rubber mats and carpets compete the interior. A colour keyed removable hardtop and correct MB Black German Hartz cloth convertible top. Mechanically the car has been maintained by the family and it is reported that the engine was previously rebuilt by a Mercedes trained technician. Equipped with an original motor and transmission, a Kinzlie VDO original wind up clock, Blaupunkt 3 Band short wave radio, Euro spec lighting, owners manual, books, and model info, original tool roll, spare tire and jack.
