One of the all-time styling successes of the Fifties is the Crown Victoria, and the example offered here stands tall in not only styling, but absolute quality as well. Imported from California just this year, this stunning Crown has been professionally restored with a beautiful application of two-tone paint in Meadowmist Green and Colonial White with a show-quality interior in light green vinyl and medium green cloth . . . exactly as it rolled off the assembly line in San Jose California according to the trim tag. The chrome was replated at time of restoration and the stainless trim was polished to a high lustre. Built on January 30, 1956 at the San Jose California assembly plant, it comes equipped with a host of features and options including a 292 cubic inch four barrel V8 coupled to a 3-speed manual transmission with over-drive, wire basket wheel covers, wide whitewall tires, fender skirts with stainless stone guards, dual mirrors, rear deck antenna, windshield washers and dual exhaust properly routed through the rear bumper. The paint condition is stunning, as is the rest of the car, but we rated the paint as “good”, not excellent, only because it has not been polished to a show-quality finish. There is also slight delamination in the passenger vent window glass. Car runs and drives out strong.
