Purchased new in Breda, Holland, the owner logged 75,000 kms. Upon shipment to Canada, it did not meet Canadian emission standards and so was stored 20 years. Today, with only 86,631 kms, it stands as mostly original. Features 3.0 V8, four speed manual transmission, power steering, brakes and windows, original factory hardtop and recently replaced Haartz cloth top. This one owner, unique sports cars is a stunning and addictive treat to drive.

This is an excellent example of Triumph’s introduction to V8 power. Properly refinished in its original colour of Saphire Blue with an excellent Medium Blue bucket seat interior. Uniquely, this Stag was recently purchased from the original owner, a Canadian industrialist who obtained the car new in Breda, Holland. Operating a company in the Netherlands at the time, this Stag was used by the owner and his sales manager who between the two of them logged 75,000 kilometers travelling throughout Europe. Upon being shipped to Canada, the car was initially met with opposition by the Canadian government as it did not meet the emission standards in place. After battling the red tape for some time, the decision was made to properly store the car for 20 years and then re-commission the car as an antique. Upon reaching the age of 87, the original owner reluctantly decided it was time to part with the car he loved dearly. Today, with only 86,631 kilometers of travel on it, it stands as a mostly original Stag that has seen a proper refinish on an exceptional solid example. Mechanically, it has been properly maintained and serviced as needed. This example is equipped with its original 3.0 liter V8, four speed manual transmission with functioning overdrive, power steering, brakes and windows. The Stag was V8 powered, four seat, open roadster touring with Michelotti styling. Unlike it counterparts from Triumph, the Stag was a methodically designed and implemented GT Grand Touring cruiser, a well balanced example that hnadles and holds the road unlike any other Triumph of the period. The 3.0 liter V8 majors on low down torque, making it ideal for covering long distances and produces a wonderful note from the exhaust that lends to the urge to keep driving once behind the wheel of this V8 powered Brit bruiser. Includes the original factory hardtop and a recently replaced black Haartz cloth convertible top as well as all original owners manual, service and warranty books (in Dutch of course). This one owner unique example is a stunning sports car and an addictive treat to drive.
