It was ordered with the 403 V8 with automatic transmission, power rear deck lid release, Rally guages with clock and more. One of only 406 Formulas painted in Platinum. By 1979, Firebird sales seemed to all revolve around base models or Trans Ams. As a consequence, the Firebird Formula models have become much scarcer in the collector market. Positioned between the base Firebird and Trans Am, the Formula came with a sporty look as standard but could be optioned as a fairly plain car or a performance one. This particular one, sold new at Forbes Motors in Waterloo, Ontario has a little comfort and a little performance on the option sheet making it an ideal enthusiast’s car.
