An incredible opportunity to acquire a rare and genuine, as provided by the vin decode, 289 c.i. V8 with an installed “Paxton supercharger”. Period correct and serialized, the supercharger is extremely rare and very desirable. The cost of the supercharger alone was $3,465 and there is an invoice to prove such. Producing a seamless delivery of power and torque, the “Paxton supercharger” increases horsepower delivery by approximately 44 percent! As decoded with the original, still in place, on car vin tag, this 289 c.i. engine was built originally in Dearborn, Michigan and the vehicle built June 27, 1966. As presented new, this special Mustang still wears its original and rare Tahoe Turquoise Metallic (code u) exterior color, and original combination Light Aqua crinkle vinyl and Aqua Rosette (code 27) interior color. Transmission and differential are as built with 2.80:1 conventional axle (code 6). Shelby aluminum valve covers, power steering, stainless steel 4 wheel disc brakes for maximum stopping ability. GT style inboard driving lights, GT side-stripes, GT styled steel high-finish wheels, GT rear trumpet exhaust. Completely renewed interior, front bucket seats, GT gauge package. Spectacular rotisserie restoration performed to extremely high standards including all exterior brightwork, glass and rubber trim. All exterior panel gaps and fit outstanding.
